Second Stage Round 6: Crvena zvezda - Dubai 84-82

The biggest surprise took place in Belgrade where host SerbianCrvena zvezda (16-5) edged league's leader UAE Dubai (18-3) 84-82 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dubai. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Crvena zvezda made 29-of-36 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Dubai only scored thirteen points from the stripe. 27 personal fouls committed by Dubai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Canadian-Serbian guard Stefan Miljenovic (190-2001, college: Slippery Rock) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Nikola Kalinic (202-1991) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Dwayne Bacon (201-1995, college: FSU) who recorded 31 points and Serbian power forward Filip Petrusev (211-2000, college: Gonzaga) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Crvena zvezda maintains first position with 16-5 record, which they share with Buducnost. Dubai at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Igokea.
